Reduced Pain
The CO2 laser beam seals nerve endings as it incises through tissue. This ultimately reduces the amount of pain that an animal feels during and after surgery.
Reduced Bleeding
When
making an incision, the CO2 laser beam cauterizes
and seals blood vessels up to 1mm in diameter. This
laser energy achieves hemostasis and
provides the surgeon with a virtually bloodless surgical field.
Reduced Swelling
Physical contact between the laser and the surgical region
is never established, thus eliminating the crushing, tearing and bruising
of tissue associated with traditional surgical methods. Lymphatic vessels
are also sealed.
Reduced Infection
CO2 laser energy acts as an antimicrobial / antibacterial
agent by producing high temperatures, effectively eliminating microorganisms.
Extreme Surgical Precision
The
CO2 laser produces a highly monochromatic, coherent
beam of light that is accurately delivered to a point
of focus.
The accuracy of this focused beam of energy allows for the vaporization
of cells while causing minimal damage to the healthy
adjacent tissues.
Quicker Recovery
The combination of the above attributes results in the
benefit your clients may appreciate the most: a quicker return to home,
and normal activities, for their pet.

Anesthesia and Surgical Services
Our hospital provides precise anesthetic procedures and we monitor your
pet closely during the entire procedure, both visibly and with state-of-the-art
monitoring equipment that record multiple body functions simultaneously.
We perform both minor and major surgeries and emergency surgeries.

Pain Management
Pain management is at the forefront of our mind during all anesthetic procedures.
We believe that your pet will have a much more pleasant, comfortable and
healthy experience if pain management is provided not only after surgery,
but also before and during the procedure. Pain medications also provide
for a smoother anesthetic recovery.

Comprehensive Physical Examinations
Of all the services we perform, we place the most emphasis on the physical
exam. Yes, vaccines are important, but not as important as a complete physical
exam. When your pet has an illness, you may notice changes in your pet's
behavior, but your dog or cat still cannot speak to you. We recommend a
complete exam no less often than once a year and in most cases, twice a
year. Many
illnesses can be detected during a routine semi-annual exam before the
illness actually becomes a serious problem. Finding and treating these
hidden conditions
early is important. Remember, your pet has a shorter life span than ours.
A comprehensive physical exam is the most important part of our Wellness
Program.

Vaccinations and Preventative Medicine
Vaccinations are also important in our Wellness Program, and so are certain
preventative medications, such as heartworm prevention. Recent advanced
in veterinary medicine have provided us with many important immunizations
and
medications that protect against major diseases. Our professional staff
members and veterinarians will look at your pet's lifestyle and make certain
recommendations
to ensure your pet received the proper selection of vaccinations and preventative
medications.

Puppy
and Kitten
Examinations and
Vaccinations
We see many new puppies and kittens through out the year and they are such precious creatures. One of our purposes is to educate each and every client about health and behavior issues that are commonly seen in young puppies and kittens. We want to help you be a great caretaker for that precious new pet.
Your puppy or kitten should receive its first exam and vaccinations between 6 and 9 weeks of age. We will also discuss at that time other services we consider vital to the health of your new friend. The preventative measures we will discuss will help your puppy or kitten live longer so you can enjoy as long as possible. That's our goal!

Complete Diagnostic Services
Diagnostic Laboratory Testing
For quick and immediate results, we use state-of-the-art laboratory equipment to perform a wide range of blood tests, urine tests, and microscopic examinations. All of our surgical patients have pre-anesthetic blood tests immediately before surgery to help reduce the risks associated with anesthesia and surgery.
When more extensive or specific testing is required, we utilize the services of a national veterinary reference laboratory that provides next-day results.
::BACK TO TOP
Telemedicine
We have the capability of sending and receiving lab reports, x-rays, photos, and more via internet transmission. This allows us to communicate to a wide range of veterinary specialists. We are also members of the worldwide online Veterinary Information Network where we have quick access to up-to-date medical information, case submissions, and interactive dialog with colleagues and specialists.

Radiology
We have a state-of-the-art x-ray machine that produces excellent quality radiographs. Radiographs are extremely helpful for diagnosing medical and surgical problems.
::BACK TO TOP
Endoscopy
Endoscopy is derived from the Greek words "scopy", meaning "look", and "endo", meaning "within".
Rigid endoscopes allow the veterinarian the ability to examine the esophagus,
stomach, and upper and lower respiratory tract, and other organs of the body
in a noninvasive manner. The use of grasping forceps, snares, and biopsy forceps
allows the removal of foreign objects, collection of samples for biopsy and
culture, and removal of small polyps or tumors.

Electrocardiography (EKG)
An EKG allows us to analyze the electrical signals within the heart. This helps
us to determine size and positioning of the heart, and to detect problems inside
the heart.
