Ped Medical Center of San Antonio

Special Client Services
Morning drop-offs and Evening Pick-ups
For your convenience, we welcome you to drop your pet off in the morning and pick up in the afternoon. We will call during the day to discuss your pet’s healthcare.

After-hours Emergency Service
If you have an after-hours veterinary emergency please call our number first. A veterinarian (one of our own or one that we share emergency duty with) will call you back to discuss the level of care your pet needs. It may be decided that your pet’s emergency needs a higher level of care than what can be provided in our facility after-hours. In that case, you will be referred to one of the local emergency clinics. Otherwise, for more minor emergencies, we will be glad to evaluate and treat your pet at our hospital or the hospital of the veterinarian on duty.

Educational Seminars
In our new facilities, ach month we will host educational seminars for our clients. Topics include Pet First Aid, My New Puppy and My New Kitten classes. New topics will be added. Let us know if you have any suggestions.

Nutritional Counseling
Our Certified Veterinary Nutrition Counselors are able to evaluate your pet’s current Body Condition Score, exercise levels, and feeding regimen. With this information, an effective nutrition program can be designed for your pet, whether it is for weight loss or gain, or maintaining your pet’s current weight. Proper nutrition is a vital factor if you want your pet to live a long, healthy, happy life. Be sure to ask us about our nutritional counseling service.

Bereavement Counseling
Losing a pet, whether it be suddenly or expected, young or old, is never an easy time. We completely understand the closeness of the bond that develops between you and your pet. We are familiar with all the feelings one feels when a pet dies. Sometimes a pet owner just needs someone to talk to during their time of grief. We are here for you if you ever just need someone to talk to.
